Great question! The Social Closet is a Social Community I created on Facebook to impact women in any way that I can. A major part of this Community is #ThirtyonThursdays, which is just a password away for you! Every Thursday (except for the 4th), I launch at least 30 pre-loved items way below retail or resale value. These items consist of clothing, jewelry, purses and more. Once the items are live, a password is posted in The Social Closet Facebook Group and everything is first come first serve! I'm glad you asked! All proceeds go back into our Community to fund giveaways and fun incentives, community outreach and to cover the cost of operation #websitefees! Additionally, most items that have been featured for a while and don't sell will be donated to Goodwill or Crisis Assistance Ministry in Charlotte, NC.

Well... a few things! After college, I worked full time in the corporate world at a marketing job that required me to dress nice every day. Last year I was able to quit my job and work from home through Social Selling. So, my go-to look these days is more "just rolled out of bed" than "here to conquer the world" like my 9-5 days. Between this and yo-yo dieting (#owningit), I found myself having SO MANY CLOTHES I don't use! I recently moved and started brainstorming what to do with everything, and this idea was born! I hope my clothes can help other boss babes feel like they can conquer the world, too!

While this is set up like an online boutique #perfectionistprobs, this is not a business, it is the equivalent of purchasing something on Facebook Marketplace. But no worries, I have a solution for you! The 4th Thursday of every month I open up our community for Social Closet Clean Outs. This is where members of the community can post a listing of up to 30 items. So, if something doesn't work for you, just re-list it in the group! Shipping times depend on how far you live from Charlotte, NC, but it is usually 2-5 days after the order is picked up. My goal is to ship out all orders by the time the next Closet opens, but I do travel a lot! I have an assistant who can help when needed and I will post updates consistently in The Social Closet Facebook group. You will also receive an e-mail with tracking information once your order ships. All items that I personally list are from a smoke-free home. I do have a dog, but she is a Goldendoodle which means she is hypoallergenic and doesn't shed. My rug sheds more than she does #butforreal! The condition of the item will vary, which is why pricing does, too. ​ If something is marked "NWT," this means it still has the tags on it and never has been worn. "New Without Tags" means I either took the tag off and never wore it, or it didn't come with a tag on it (some online boutiques don't put price tags on their items). Pre-loved means that it has been worn before. I price everything based on the quality and condition of the item. If something is marked very low, chances are it has more wear and tear than higher priced items. I try and take photos of any issues I see, as well as indicate if something has only been worn 1-2 times. ​ By purchasing Pre-Loved clothes, please understand that there may be a snag here or there. Some things may have to be washed or dry cleaned. Because of the large quantities of items to list, the extremely low prices, and the not-for-profit mission of this community, everything is sold as-it-is-in-my-closet. ​ With that being said, I strive to only list items I know were barely used, in great condition and that you will love! ​ Listings during Social Closet Clean Outs are between you and the seller and I can not speak to the quality of goods. On all listings (other than some Dollar Deals), I will indicate the retail value of an item. This is the price I personally paid when it was brand new. All items are sold 60-90% below this price depending on condition and value of the item.

Each order processed through this site automatically incurs a $0.30 fee, plus 2.9% of the purchase amount. Then, there is the cost for the website, poly mailers or boxes, shipping labels and more. Since all proceeds go back into the community, I have opted to only charge orders $0.30 cents for handling fees and cover the rest.
